Andalusite is a distinctive handmade mushroom sculpture inspired by the quiet beauty of ancient woodland and the fascinating forms found growing beneath the forest canopy.
Andalusite has an earthy, organic character, with a beautifully textured cap, delicate stem and richly detailed naturalistic base. The sculpture is finished with earthy tones of brass and rich deep and crystal like mineral details giving it the feeling of something discovered deep within an enchanted forest.
The name Andalusite comes from the natural mineral, known for its distinctive earthy colouring and intriguing crystalline structure ~ a fitting name for a piece that brings together the worlds of mushrooms, minerals and the hidden magic of the earth.

Details ~ Approximatley 7 inches tall, 4.5 inches across the base. As with all of my sculptures ~ this was lovingly made from scratch by hand from my woodland studio. It is not suitable to be kept outdoors, its best kept somewhere dry away from sun exposure.
