‘Arda’ is a one of a kind handcrafted Amanita muscaria sculpture inspired by the ancient magic and quiet beauty of the forest. Named after the elvish word for ‘mystical earth’ Arda is a deeply grounded piece. I focused on the feeling of wandering through an ancient woodland when sculpting. Pictures of mossy soft carpet under your feet, towering oak trees & centuries of myth and lore.
With its organic form and woodland character, Arda would make a beautiful addition to a nature inspired home, witchy decor collection or mushroom themed collection. It is equally suited to sitting amongst houseplants, crystals, books and other natural treasures, creating the feeling of a tiny piece of enchanted forest indoors.
Arda measures approximately 6.5 inches in height & 4 inches in width. As with all of my sculptures, as this a piece of artwork made from clay ~ i have used a high quality sealant for protection, however it is not suitable for being outside long term, it is best to be kept somewhere dry and avoid strong sun exposure. As a handmade sculpture, subtle variations and tiny imperfections are a part of its character. These are not mass produced, each piece is lovingly created by hand from my woodland studio, meaning Arda is completely individual and there will never be another exactly the same.
